The Nisqually earthquake in the spring of 2000 destroyed major portions of the masonry tower and parapet walls at Starbucks' corporate headquarters building. Architectural Reproductions fabricated terra cotta replacement parts using Glassfiber Reinforced Concrete (GFRC) molded in individual blocks and modular assemblies with connections designed to conform to current seismic standards. |
